61 Days!

Wow.

61 days til we say I do! 61 days til I'm no longer a "fiance." After five years of holding that title, I'm absolutley jaw droppingly amazed that I will have another one. It took me a year and a half to stop calling Jay boyfriend, I wonder how long it wil take me to call him husband!

Invites are all done and ready to go. Full speed ahead. We're getting married.

I'm excited to shop for flowers, I've been speeding through this so quickly I've not taken any time to stop and smell the roses. Bridezilla, wedding obsessed I am not. It's been what can I get done right now, quickly, so I can get back to school work. What can I cover off on my lunch break.

Wow. School is done April 18th, and at that point I fully intend to breathe.

Til next time

Breathe, Breathe, Breathe

I have been so stressed lately. The mounting pressures of planning a wedding, two university courses, a full time job and trying to have a life outside of those things has really enlightened me. I am totally capable of doing 86 things at once but I don't want to! Let this be a lesson to my future self. You may want everything at once, you may not want to wait for things. However long life is, the hours are short!

Yesterday was 100 days until. Today is 99. That said, I'm on my way over to theknot.com to check some things off of my looming red checklist. (44 items done, 140 items to do)

1) We found our bridemaids dresses. They are hot and really showcase by beautiful bridemaids hotness.
2) We have looked at some tuxes for the Groom and have a base price to try to come down from.
3) We have spoken to a travel agent and are about a few days away from booking a trip to Europe!
4) Both of us have decided on the style of bands we want. Now we just have to buy them.

That makes me feel a little bit better.

A little bit.

Til next time!

Dress Due Date, Valentines Day, Make-up Trial! Whoo!

So I called in for my dress arrival date and it's due to arrive the week of April 11!!! YAY! I am zo excited to see it in a size that fits!

Valentines Day and the preceding day were amazing. We went to a pub on the Danforth called Allen's for thier Steak Festival Sunday night. Dozens of organic, hormone and antibiotics free cuts to choose from - it's on for another week if you want to try it out. Absolutely amazing! Tonight we are going out for a second dinner, but it's a surprise so that's all I have to tell you!

Over the past few weeks Jay and I have been looking at wedding bands. It's so hard to choose. I wan them all and Jay doesn't like any of them LOL Hopefully we'll have them picked out by the end of the month.

This weekend is allllll bridal. On Saturday afteroon we are going to see a travel agent to look at our honeymoon options. We are both really excited about a European cruise, which in itself is a decently priced option. However, the flight TO the cruise, is murder, so I guess we'll see! After that I'm heading to one of my bridesmaids houses for dinner and drinks. She's invited a make-up artist friend of her's over to test out some wedding looks. Sunday, it's bridesmaids dress shopping round two, and hopefully the last, at Ritche Bridal, where I bought my dress :D

It feels overwhelming but I have a sense of accomplishment at the same time.

Til Next Time!

Dresses and Baubles and Tulle! Oh my!

Hello world!

My MOH went through some surgery at the beginning of the month and she's starting to feel much better - soooooo Dress Shopping! Finally!

I am bursting at the seams with excitement!

I've also been looking at craft projects galore. I only have 7 months til the wedding but I m determined to make some things.

I would love to make some of these tulle flowers. I'd likely use them for corages.

I've been searching high and low for boxes to make a card box. I originally want it to be rather large, a few tiers, but I'm having trouble finding correct sized boxes. Now I'm think about scaling it down. It will be much easier to find supplies :)

Another great idea I found was a new idea for pomanders. While they are a wedding mainstay in the traditional floral sense, these are adorned with buttons which would go wonderfully with my bow theme. Definitely not in red, but perhaps in a grey/white?

All in all I'm excited to take a few projects but very wary of time constraints!

Wish me luck!

Til next time!
